Charles A. Gilman co-founded Gilman & Bedigian, LLC. His litigation practice focuses on medical malpractice, car accidents, nursing home negligence and abuse, dog bites, slip and fall accidents and most other types of personal injury cases. Mr. Gilman handles professional malpractice claims against doctors, other lawyers and financial advisers.

As a seasoned trial attorney, Charles tries approximately forty contested cases per year in the mid-Atlantic region. As the lead counsel during one of these trials, a catastrophic injury case in Maryland, he distinguished himself by resolving the lawsuit in excess of $5 million dollars.

Having successfully litigated cases against multinational businesses resulting in significant recoveries for his clients, Charles has represented numerous claimants in class action lawsuits and shareholder derivative claims. These cases have resulted in multi-million dollar recoveries for the class members and shareholders.
Charles has served as general counsel to various corporations operating in several states, representing them in a range of regulatory, corporate and litigation-related issues. Charles was appointed to the Board of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation by the County Executive.

Awards and Honors

Charles Gilman was selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are named to the Rising Stars list. He was also selected for inclusion in The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, and is a member of the President’s Club of the Maryland Association of Justice. By request of his peers, he has lectured on use of expert witnesses at trial.


Charles graduated cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law after graduating from Towson University for his Undergraduate degree in Finance.
