Dennis C. Tanner received the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University where he was involved in voice print and speech pattern recognition research. Dr. Tanner's national and international scientific papers, diagnostic tests, and clinical programs address a wide range of topics in communication sciences and disorders. Books by Dennis Tanner include The Family Guide to Surviving Stroke and Communication Disorders, The Forensic Aspects of Communication Sciences and Disorders, The Psychology of Neurogenic Communication Disorders: A Primer for Health Care Professionals, Exploring Communication Disorders: A 21st Century Introduction Through Literature and Media, The Forensic Aspects of Speech Patterns: Voice Prints, Speaker Profiling, Lie and Intoxication Detection (with M. Tanner), Anatomy and Physiology Study Guide for Speech and Hearing (with W. Culbertson and S.
